The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan found Khalil Ziyatdinov, a coloproctologist at a private medical clinic, guilty of causing death by negligence (under Part 2 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On April 5, 2017, a man Lenar Nasybullov went to see a coloproctologist at a private medical clinic Khalil Ziyatdinov with complaints of recurrent pain.

Doctor Ziyatdinov diagnosed the patient with an incorrect clinical diagnosis. Then the specialist, for selfish purposes, namely with the aim of making a profit , informed the patient about the need for an operation using the anesthetic "lidocaine".

At the same time, the doctor did not provide the Nasybullov spouses with full information about the contraindications of lidocaine during the operation and the risks and complications associated with its use, and did not receive written informed consent from them for medical intervention. At that time, an emergency operation was not required. But doctor Ziyatdinov did not collect anamnesis about Nasybullov's illnesses and did not initiate other medical procedures.

Lenar Nasybullov had a disease in which the use of lidocaine is contraindicated. During the operation with the use of the drug, the patient's health condition deteriorated sharply.

And with further resuscitation, doctor Ziyatdinov did not monitor cardiac activity, did not take measures to restore airway patency, did not use a defibrillator. On the same day, the man died on the operating table.

The forensic medical examination revealed serious violations in the provision of medical care by the doctor Ziyatdinov to the man.

The prosecutor demanded that the doctor be sentenced to 4 years in a general regime colony, but the court sentenced the doctor to only 2.5 years. And he is forbidden to engage in medical practice for two years.
