The head of the department of the oncological dispensary in Ulan-Ude extorted a bribe

In Buryatia, a criminal case was opened against the 42-year-old head of the department of the republican clinical oncologic dispensary. He is accused of accepting a bribe and extortion, under paragraph "b" of part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

In September, the accused out of turn helped to place a sick man for inpatient treatment in a dispensary and performed an operation on him. And then he met with his son and demanded a bribe of 30 thousand rubles as gratitude for his efforts.
At first, his son referred to a lack of money. But a month later, when my father needed a course of radiation therapy, there were problems with hospitalization. And the son decided that the department head of the hospital created difficulties.
comments Then he was able to collect 12 thousand rubles and transferred them to the doctor's account. After some time, he turned to law enforcement agencies with a statement about extortion of a bribe and submitted documents on the transfer of money.

A criminal case was opened on the basis of materials from operational-search activities submitted by employees of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB of Buryatia. The investigation is checking this doctor for similar crimes.
